Question - Do You Ever Go Au Naturel?

sometimes, while it's nice to look all made up, i'm too tired to bother with a full face of makeup. i'm not going to lie - while i don't find myself unattractive, i do feel a little bit prettier and girlier when i have a bit of makeup on (not tons gooped all over my face, but just a few things)... that being said, i love the way i look, freckles, scar above my right eyelid (from a childhood tantrum involving which shoes to buy, yes i was a willful child), beauty marks and all, and once in a while when i'm too tired to do ANYTHING, i do just get up, wash my face and run out the door.

here i am, with no makep on my face other than some tinted lip balm (which i put on because it's got sunscreen in it and i was planning on going outside... FYI, it's laura mercier hydratint spf 15 in rose) and curled eyelashes.

i'm a bit shiny because i'm wearing sunscreen that has titanium dioxide, but other than that my face has nothing on it.

what do you think? do you ever go bare faced?

You have gorgeous skin!

I frequently go au naturel... Mainly because while I love makeup, I'm not the girl who wears it everyday. If my job/agenda that day doesn't require it then I just don't wear it.

I do wear sunscreen everyday and I moisturize everyday but other than that, there isn't too much else I do.

Most of the time I can't even be bothered to dry my hair! Into a bun it goes after air-drying in the car!

If I had such great skin I assure you, I'd go au naturel more often. I don't mind going around doing insignificant things around town with a bare face, but if I'm going shopping, seeing someone or going out, I always put on at least a sheer foundation and mascara.
BTW, I think I forgot to tell you last time, I really like the new blog layout!
XO, have a nice day!

Your skin is awesome au naturel. I would want to, but my dark circles are just too offensive to go entirely au naturel.

@bakergirl: don't worry, i have hair down to my waist, and so i just let air dry and go... if you ever tried blow drying/curling/straightening extra long hair, you would know that negligence is better than spending an hour every time you try styling it... it's better for your hair anyhow!

thank you for the nice comment about my skin! good to know that it looks good (the sunlight helps enhance it in the picture)!

@marce: i had a bout of bad skin from the ages of 16-18 but once i got into uni for some reason it cleared right up, and now i'm thankful for it. i just drink a lot of water, and be careful not to irritate it, because it is prone to sensitivity and rashes... but for about 80-90% of the time now, it seems to behave, so i'm very very thankful.

my friend did my blog layout, it's supposed to be a bit more summery! it took a few days to fix it, but it looks good now!

@miss IPP: thank you! i don't have a lot of darkness, but when i don't sleep, my asian eyes get all puffy and my world just gets narrower and narrower... have you tried burt's bees radiance eye cream? my sister swears it helped her.

If I have a few layers of self-tanner on, I don't mind going all natural. Lately I've been going out the door everyday with just mascara, tinted moisturizer, and some gloss. I feel I need makeup the most in the fall and winter.

@katie: i feel really weird when i have self tanners on. maybe it's because when i do use them i really load it on, because it's for the stage...

i also think i look better pale than tan, but that might just be my asian upbringing talking (tan meant you were a farmer, and had to do manual labor).

i totally dig the all natural look though, it makes me feel more "honest" than when i pile it on!

i hope you're having a great week - i'm having finals right now, so i'm hoping you're not on the same boat.

I don't like being pale (I mean, I make sure I'm never orange tan, but a little color just makes me look alive)

I think people who are asian are really lucky though. I have asian friends and their skin tone is perfect, and when they get pale they look "pretty pale" (does that even make sense?) Like I look dead when I'm pale but they have very glowy & radiant skin.

I have finals on Monday, that's why I haven't been blogging. Good luck on yours!

If my complexion was a lovely as yours - I'd walk around without makeup 24/7! Work it!
